ARTIST TO ARTIST INFORMATION
As an artist, I have first hand experience in trying to make my way in the art world. Over the years, my efforts to gain exposure, market my work and communicate with dealers and galleries has netted quite a resource library of contacts, resources and a wealth of knowledge. After my first bad experience with a less than honest client in the 1980's , I vowed never again to be taken advantage of. What I did was steep myself in the education of all things business and things business related to art. I went to work, gaining employment in the business world. Over the years I worked my way up from clerical work up through middle and upper management and including owning and operating my own businesses in a diverse range of fields including employment on various large companies in arts and entertainment world.
Over the years, I have shared my knowledge and helped many artists. I wanted to help more and as many artists as I could so I decided to start putting the information on the Internet. This way I can reach more people and to be able to share it with artists around the globe.
This website brings to you over 20 years of trained business experience and amassed information, updated over the years as things changed and as the home computer was made available. The Internet has certainly changed and improved our ability to communicate and opens doors to global markets at the touch of a finger. Artists have to be so much more self sufficient these days and the art schools do not provide this type of education. My goal is to educate and inform as many artists as I can and arm them with knowledge. Empowering visual artists on their journey into the business side of art.
